Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only daughter from Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra is well known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is juror at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
